Professor Fogo
Head Teacher
Professor Fogo began Capoeira in 2008 and began teaching in 2010. With almost 15 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science, Professor Fogo is well-equipped to teach students of any age or lifestyle.
Grau Mestre Rony
Head Teacher
The founder of Capoeira Volta Ao Mundo, Mestre Rony began training Capoeira in 1981, and has worked with
people of all ages and walks of life in Sarasota, including Marrese Crump and Vo Williams.
Mestra Cheri
Owner and Operator
The motor behind the academy, Mestra Cheri founded CapoKids in 2000, and has taught Capoeira for over 25 years. Under her guidance, CapoKids has opened three locations and now serves approximately 150 children per year.
Instrutor Mocha
Instructor
Mocha began teaching in 2015, with experience teaching preschoolers, school-age children, teenagers, and adults. Having taught workshops in Sarasota, Lakewood Ranch, and Louisville, Kentucky before turning 23, he is a young up-and-coming Capoeirista.

For Capoeiristas with previous experience: we have an open roda every Thursday at 6:30 PM. Reach out to us and we will provide you with details. We play music with live instruments, as well as on the speaker, and usually hang out or practice more together afterwards. All are welcome!
