Blue Cord Requirement

To get the blue cord the student has to be with the monitor cord (blue/yellow) for minimum 3 active years.

• He has to know all the previous cords by heart.
• He has to go to at least 10 batizados (including ours) and attending or giving classes at least 48 times per year.
• He also has to write a paper on capoeira. The subject has to be previously approved by Mestre Rony. He may choose from any subject related from capoeira.
• He/she has to write a book report and the book also has to be approve by Mestre.
• He/she has to know and perform with a friend all the seven sequences of Bimba
• He/she has to know at least 3 ladainhas and 10 capoeira songs
• Know all the 15 berimbau toques
• know some basic Portuguese
• No physical requirements will be asked but it’s understood that he/she should already know how important it is to be fit to play capoeira.
• Has to be able to lead a roda of capoeira.
